Springtime Quinceañera

I had the pleasure of photographing the gorgeous Sara Mostrum in her beautiful Quinceañera dress. Giving us all of the real-life Cinderella vibes, check out what went into making this fairytale session a reality.

In many Hispanic cultures, a girl’s fifteenth birthday is a special one. Signifying the passage from girlhood to womanhood, a Quinceañera is a very special celebration for girls and their families and friends. Including many beautiful traditions, dances, and celebrations, I wanted to ensure that I captured the most amazing photos possible for this beautiful fifteen year old’s special day.

Lucky for us, spring was in full bloom in Winchester, MA. The colors, pretty pastel pinks and greens, could not have complimented Sara more perfectly. The dress, from Glamour Formal Wear and Bridal in Saugus, MA, looked absolutely beautiful among this cheery blossom tree, making it a perfect first spot for pictures.

Fitting the fairytale vibe perfectly, the library itself looked exactly like a castle. This made for some of my favorite shots! While mid shoot, a nearby car slowed and rolled the windows down. From inside, we heard a little girl shout, “Mom look! It’s a princess!”

After her session, Sara wrote, “Gianna is SO amazing, both her personality and photography! Definitely recommend for any special events like quinceañeras or sweet 16s! Her photos are stunning and overall experience is a 100/10!”
